Summary
Charles Crawford filed a petition for rule making proposing the allotment of Channel 227A at Pearsall, Texas, as the community's third local FM transmission service. See 66 FR 33942, June 26, 2001. On April 16, 2002, petitioner filed a request for dismissal. A showing of continuing interest is required before a channel will be allotted. It is the Commission's policy to refrain from making an allotment to a community absent an expression of interest. Therefore, at the request of petitioner, we will dismiss the instant proposal.
