Summary

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) is revising its regulations governing off-the-record communications. The revisions ensure that the regulations do not impede the Commission's ability to quickly address issues relating to national security which may arise within the context of pending proceedings and its ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive security-related information. EFFECTIVE DATE: This final rule is effective December 31, 2001.
