Summary
Notice is hereby given that a complaint was filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission on March 9, 2001, under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. 1337, on behalf of Proxim, Inc. of Sunnyvale, California. A supplement to the complaint was filed on March 29, 2001. The complaint, as supplemented, alleges violations of section 337 in the importation into the United States, the sale for importation, and the sale within the United States after importation of certain network interface cards and access points for use in direct sequence spread spectrum wireless local area networks and products containing same by reason of infringement of claims 6-8 of U.S. Letters Patent 5,077,753, claims 13, 15, 20, 22, 24-26, 30, 33, 35-37, 40, 42, and 50 of U.S. Letters Patent 5,809,060, and claims 1-31 of U.S. Letters Patent 6,075,812. The complaint further alleges that an industry in the United States exists as required by subsection (a)(2) of section 337. The complainant requests that the Commission institute an investigation and, after the investigation, issue a permanent exclusion order and permanent cease and desist orders.
