(1)A concrete gravity-type dam comprising;
(i)The 92-foot-long, 14-foot-high Dam #1 surmounted by a pneumatic gate; and
(ii)the 58-foot-long, 5-foot-high Dam #2 surmounted by flashboards;
(2)a reservoir having a 2.0-acre surface area and a gross storage volume of 20-acre-fee at normal water surface elevation 461 feet NGVD;
(3)a gated intake structure having trashracks;
(4)a 170-foot-long concrete-lined forebay canal;
(5)a powerhouse containing a 640-kW generating unit and an 850-kW generating unit for a total installed capacity of 1490-kW;
(6)a 2.4/23-kV substation;
(7)a 50-foot-long, 23-kV transmission line;
(8)a tailrace; and
(9)appurtenant facilities. The applicant estimates that the total average annual generation would be 11.0 MWh. All generated power is sold to Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation. l. With this notice, we are initiating consultation with the New York State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), as required by § 106, National Historic Preservation Act, and the regulations of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, 36 CFR 800.4. m. Pursuant to section 4.32(b)(7) of 18 CFR of the Commission's regulations, if any resource agency, Indian Tribe, or person believes that an additional scientific study should be conducted in order to form an adequate factual basis for a complete analysis of the application on its merit, the resource agency, Indian Tribe, or person must file a request for a study with the Commission not later than 60 days from the filing date of this application and serve a copy of the request on the applicant. n.
