L. 92-463), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC)announces the following subcommittee meeting. *Name:* ACIPC Family and Intimate Violence Prevention Subcommittee. *Times and Dates:* 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., August 15, 2000. *Place:* The Westin Atlanta Airport, 4736 Best Road, College Park, Georgia 30337. *Status:* Open to the public, limited only by the space available. *Purpose:* To provide and make recommendations to ACIPC and the Director, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), regarding feasible goals for prevention and control of family and intimate violence and sexual assault. The Subcommittee will make recommendations regarding policies, strategies, objectives and priorities. *Matters To Be Discussed:* The Subcommittee will review, and discuss, the clarification of roles ( *e.g.,* cross-cutting) among CDC's funded research and resource center projects, and Changing Social Norms. The Subcommittee will be provided an update on CDC's future surveillance activities for collecting national and state data on violence against women
(VAW)for fiscal year 2001-2002. The Subcommittee will also be provided an update on the Division of Violence Prevention's
(DVP)reorganization and how DVP will maintain visibility of family and intimate violence prevention programs.
