An Act To extend the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards Program of the Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes.July 22, 2020[[S. 4148](/us/bill/116/s/4148)] * Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa­tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* ## SECTION 1 EXTENSION OF CHEMICAL FACILITY ANTI-TERRORISM STANDARDS PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY ###
(a)In General Section 5 of the Protecting and Securing Chemical Facilities from Terrorist Attacks Act of 2014 ([Public Law 113–254](/us/pl/113/254); [6 U.S.C. 621 note](/us/usc/t6/s621)) is amended by striking “July 23, 2020” and inserting “July 27, 2023”. ###
(b)Effective Date [6 USC 621 note](/us/usc/t6/s621). The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on the date that is 1 day after the date of enactment of this Act. Approved July 22, 2020.
