§ 4902. Budget amendment.
(a)General rule.-- During the month of January next following a municipal election, the board of commissioners may amend the budget and the levy and tax rate to conform with the amended budget. A period of 10 days' public inspection at the office of township secretary of the proposed amended budget after notice by the township secretary to that effect is published once in a newspaper of general circulation, as provided in section 1107 (relating to legal advertising), shall intervene between the proposed amended budget and the amended budget's adoption. An amended budget must be adopted by the board of commissioners on or before the 15th day of February.
(b)Limitation.-- No proposed amended budget may be revised upward in excess of 10% in the aggregate or in excess of 25% of the amount of an individual item in the proposed amended budget.
