§ 1913. State association expenses.
(a)Payment.-- The board of commissioners shall, for each delegate and other officer or employee attending the annual meeting or other conference or educational training of the State association of township commissioners, pay expenses upon receipt of an itemized account of expenses. Expenses shall be limited to:
(1)The registration fee.
(2)Mileage for use of personal vehicle or reimbursement of actual transportation expense going to and returning from the meeting, conference or educational training.
(3)Actual expenses that the board of commissioners may have agreed to pay.
(b)Regular employee rate.-- The board of commissioners may authorize township employees to be compensated at their regular employee rate during the employee's attendance at the annual meeting or other conference or educational training. The board of commissioners may authorize a commissioner to receive total or partial reimbursement for lost wages or salary while attending the annual meeting or other conference or educational training if sufficient documentation is presented to the board of commissioners to justify the reimbursement. The maximum time for which a delegate, township employee or commissioner shall be reimbursed for lost wages or salary while attending the annual meeting or other conference or educational training may not be more than four days, including the time spent traveling to and from the event.
