§ 1729. Conferences and institutes.
The governing authority shall have power by general rule or by order to provide for the organization and convening on a regular or special basis of a Judicial Conference of Pennsylvania, institutes and joint councils on sentencing, and such other informational and educational conferences and institutes as the governing authority may find to be necessary or desirable for the prompt, fair and efficient administration of justice, and to require the attendance of such personnel of the system as shall be designated by or pursuant to such general rules or orders.
The governing authority may cooperate with other states and the Federal Government in the convening, organization and maintenance of conferences and institutes authorized by this section.
