683.020 License required to practice optometry; exception. Except as provided in ORS 676.347, a person may not engage in the practice of optometry or purport in any way to be an optometrist or an expert in the field of optometry without having first obtained a license from the Oregon Board of Optometry as provided for in ORS 683.010 to 683.340. In any prosecution for the violation of this section, the use of test cards, test lenses or of trial frames is prima facie evidence of the practice of optometry.
