261.055 Special elections called by board. When any people’s utility district desires to hold an election for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the district any question that may lawfully be submitted to them, the board may, at any regular or special meeting called in accordance with its rules or the statutes governing the same, adopt a resolution calling a special election to be held on a date specified in ORS 255.345, and may in the same resolution designate and describe in general terms the question which is to be submitted at the special election.
