253.005 Definitions. As used in this chapter:
(1)“Absent elector” means a person to whom the county clerk has issued a ballot prior to the date that ballots are mailed to electors as provided in ORS 254.470 (2)(a) or (b).
(2)“Clerk” means the county clerk.
(3)“County clerk” means the county clerk or the county official in charge of elections.
(4)“Elector” means an individual qualified to vote under Article II, section 2, Oregon Constitution. [1979 c.190 §201; 1979 c.317 §10a; 1999 c.410 §27; 2007 c.154 §14; 2025 c.2 §12]
