Supervision and control - Salary.
In addition to the other officers of such corporation, it shall have an officer, known as its superintendent, whose duty it shall be to care for and protect the grounds of such cemetery and its appurtenances, and to enforce its bylaws, in relation to its grounds, and to superintend the making of repairs and the construction of improvements and the maintenance of all permanent improvements, or embellishments of every kind, which tends to beautify such cemetery or render it convenient for such use, or preserve it permanently as a burying ground for the dead.
Such superintendent shall be elected at the same time the other officers of such corporation are elected, and shall hold his office for the same length of time as the president thereof, and shall be the owner
of at least one lot in the cemetery, and shall be under the direct supervision, and control of the board of directors. The salary of such superintendent shall be fixed by the bylaws of such corporation. R.L.1910, § 391; Laws 1915, c. 27, § 1.
