§74-366. Interest on warrants persented and not redeemed -

Termination of interest.
When any warrant shall be presented to the Treasurer for redemption, and there shall be no funds in the Treasury appropriated for that purpose, the Treasurer shall endorse thereon the date of its presentation, with his signature thereto, and thereafter such warrant shall draw interest at the rate of four percent (4%) per annum, and whenever there shall be funds in the Treasury for the redemption of warrants so presented and endorsed, the Treasurer shall give notice of the fact in some newspaper published at the seat of government, and at the expiration of thirty
(30)days after the date of such notice, the interest on such warrant shall cease. R.L.1910, § 8140; Laws 1937, p. 31, § 1.
