The purpose of the Executive Branch Reform Act of 1986 is to organize the various departments, agencies, boards, commissions and other entities of the executive branch of state government into a cabinet system of government in order to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and accountability of state government. Added by Laws 1986, c. 207, § 2, emerg. eff. June 6, 1986.
