§70-615. Basis of apportionment.

The apportionment shall be made to the school districts of the county on the basis of school population as determined pursuant to the provisions of Section 56 of this act for the preceding school year as certified by the State Board of Education. The Commissioners of the Land Office, in distributing all funds mentioned in this section, shall draw their order on the State Treasurer or other officer having custody of such funds, in favor of the schools of the counties respectively, entitled to school monies, using electronic funds transfer as defined by the Office of the Oklahoma State Treasurer:
Provided, that the federal appropriation made shall be apportioned by said Commissioners, to the several schools, entitled to the same under Act of Congress providing for said appropriation, in proportion to the number of children of school age shown by the last federal census.
