An education employee who is injured as a result of an assault or battery upon the person of the employee while the employee is in the performance of any duties as an education employee shall be entitled to a leave of absence from employment with the school without a loss of leave benefits. Added by Laws 2013, 1st Ex. Sess., c. 7, § 9, emerg. eff. Sept. 10, 2013. NOTE: Text formerly resided under repealed Title 70, § 6-147, which was derived from Laws 2009, c. 228, § 82, which was held unconstitutional by the Oklahoma Supreme Court in the case of Douglas v. Cox Retirement Properties, Inc., 2013 OK 37, 302 P.2d 789 (Okla. 2013).
