§70-11-103.15. Elective course in law enforcement.

A. A school district may offer to students in grades eleven and twelve an elective course in law enforcement.
B. The law enforcement elective course shall include, at a minimum:
1. A general introduction to law enforcement training;
2. Critical skills and entry requirements for law enforcement professionals; and
3. Career opportunities in law enforcement.
C. The State Board of Education may coordinate with the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training to develop instructional materials and curricula for school districts to use in the law enforcement elective course. The Board may promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this section. Added by Laws 2023, c. 175, § 1, eff. Nov. 1, 2023.
