§59-1625. Description and legislative intent.

A. This act describes the welding inspector's basic technical functions, the requirements by which welding personnel may become qualified, and the principles of conduct and practice by which certification may be maintained. The certification procedure shall apply to personnel who inspect weldments.
B. This act is intended to supplement any requirements of an employer, code, standard or specification and shall not be construed as a preemption of the employer's responsibility for the work or for the performance of such work. Laws 1978, c. 104, § 2, eff. Oct. 1, 1978.
