The Commission is authorized to set up a division for the protection and care of homeless, dependent and neglected children, and children in danger of becoming delinquent and to provide an adequate child welfare service to accomplish the purposes herein set forth. Added by State Question No. 226, Initiative Petition No. 155, § 16, adopted July 7, 1936. Amended by Laws 1939, p. 92, § 14, emerg. eff. May 9, 1939; Laws 1988, c. 326, § 12, emerg. eff. July 13, 1988.
