§52-99. Filing of papers and documents - Use as evidence.

When under any provision of this act or of any order, rule or regulation made in pursuance of this act, any petition, motion, return, pleading, report, statement, map or drawing is required to be filed with the Commission, the same shall be deemed to be filed when filed with the Secretary of the Commission. Duplicate copies of all reports, statements, maps or drawings shall also be filed with the Proration Umpire. The original or any copy of any such reports, maps, drawings, statements or other documents duly certified by the Secretary of the Commission, when the contents thereof are material to the issues involved, shall be competent and admissible in evidence in any proceedings and hearings therein brought or had under the provisions of Section One
(1)to Thirteen (13), inclusive, of this act; and any such original or certified copy thereof shall, in any proceeding upon complaint or prosecution as for contempt against any person for violation of this act or of any order, rule or regulation of the Commission, be competent and admissible in evidence to establish admissions against interest made by any defendant or defendants to such complaint or prosecution who filed or caused to be filed such report, map, drawing, statement or other document.
