§47-1168. Transfer of facilities and equipment to determine vehicle

All facilities and equipment under the administrative control of the Oklahoma Tax Commission and used for determining the weight of vehicles operated on the roads or highways of this state are hereby transferred to the Department of Transportation. Any funds appropriated to or any powers, duties and responsibilities exercised by the Tax Commission for such purpose shall be transferred to the Department. The Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services is hereby authorized to transfer such funds as may be necessary.
The Department is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the Corporation Commission to operate such facilities or equipment. The provisions of this section shall not be construed to obligate the Department to incur expenses in connection with the
administration of such facilities and equipment in an amount which exceeds deposits to the Weigh Station Improvement Revolving Fund. Added by Laws 2004, c. 522, § 4, eff. July 1, 2004.
