§45-909. Foreman - Duties and responsibilities.

The mine foreman shall keep a careful watch over all operations with the utmost regard for the safety of all employees. His responsibility includes the use, storage and handling of explosives, condition of all equipment used, condition of roads in and out of the pits, drainage, roads to the tipple and other surface structures. Strip pit foremen shall devote the whole of their time to their duties when the strip mine is in operation. Laws 1978, c. 148, § 9, emerg. eff. April 7, 1978.
