§45-735. Sand and gravel - Inspections - Penalties.

The Department is designated as the agency to make safety inspections in sand, sand and gravel and in quarrying operations. Any person required by this act to have a permit who engages in mining without a valid permit therefor issued pursuant to this act is guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be fined not less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00). Each day of operation without the permit required by this act shall be deemed a separate violation. Added by Laws 1971, c. 332, § 15, emerg. eff. June 12, 1971.
