§36-3613.1. Policies and claims - Fraud warning.

Every insurance policy or application and every insurance claim form shall contain a statement that clearly indicates in substance the following: "WARNING: Any person who knowingly, and with intent to injure, defraud or deceive any insurer, makes any claim for the proceeds of an insurance policy containing any false, incomplete or misleading information is guilty of a felony." The absence of such a statement shall not constitute a defense in any prosecution. Added by Laws 1993, c. 349, § 31, eff. Sept. 1, 1993. Amended by Laws 2001, c. 363, § 17, eff. July 1, 2001.
