§22-1365. Costs and fees.

All necessary transcript costs and court fees required for perfecting appeals for indigents pursuant to the Indigent Defense Act shall be paid by the defendant if the defendant is financially able to do so. Otherwise, the costs shall be paid from the court fund of the county in which the defendant was convicted. Added by Laws 1981, c. 207, § 11, emerg. eff. May 26, 1981. Amended by Laws 2001, c. 210, § 17, eff. July 1, 2001.
