Every witness shall be required to declare before testifying that the witness will testify truthfully, by oath or affirmation administered in a form calculated to awaken the witness’s conscience and impress the witness’s mind with the duty to do so. Added by Laws 1978, c. 285, § 603, eff. Oct. 1, 1978. Amended by Laws 2002, c. 468, § 43, eff. Nov. 1, 2002.
