§11-22-122. Trees.

The municipal governing body may enact ordinances for the purpose of regulating, planting and maintaining trees in the
streets, avenues or public grounds of the municipality. Planting and maintaining trees may also be petitioned for in the manner provided for petitioning sidewalks; and the governing body may make assessments and collect taxes in order to pay for planting and maintaining trees in the manner provided for sidewalk assessments and taxes.
