Section 505.03 — Additional or new bond.

Except as otherwise provided in section 3.061 of the Revised Code, whenever the judge deems it necessary, and on application of at least twelve freeholders of the township, the judge of the county or municipal court having jurisdiction in the township who approves the bond under section 505.02 of the Revised Code, may require additional security or the execution of a new bond. If a trustee fails, for ten days, to give additional security or execute a new bond after service of the notice in writing, the office shall be declared vacant and filled as required by section 503.24 of the Revised Code.
The original bond or new bond shall be deposited with the township fiscal officer and recorded by the fiscal officer.
