Section 4723.77 — Renewal of dialysis technician certificate.

A dialysis technician certificate issued under section 4723.75 of the Revised Code expires biennially and shall be renewed according to a schedule established by the board of nursing in rules adopted under section 4723.79 of the Revised Code. An application for renewal of a dialysis technician certificate shall be accompanied by the renewal fee established in rules adopted by the board under section 4723.79 of the Revised Code. A certificate may be renewed only if, during the period for which the certificate was issued, the certificate holder satisfied the continuing education requirements established by the board's rules.
Of the hours of continuing education completed during the period for which the dialysis technician certificate was issued, at least one hour of the education must be directly related to the statutes and rules pertaining to the practice of nursing in this state or the practice as a dialysis technician in this state.
