(A)The Ohio landscape architects board shall register as a landscape architect any individual who is at least eighteen years of age and who provides evidence satisfactory to the board that the individual is a registered or licensed landscape architect in another country in which the qualifications, at the time of licensure, were substantially equal, in the opinion of the board, to the requirements for registration as a landscape architect in this state. The board may require that an applicant for registration under this division hold a current council record or certificate in good standing issued by the council of landscape architectural registration boards.
(B)The board shall register as a landscape architect in accordance with Chapter 4796. of the Revised Code an individual if either of the following applies:
(1)The individual holds a registration or license as a landscape architect in another state.
(2)The individual has satisfactory work experience, a government certification, or a private certification as described in that chapter as a landscape architect in a state that does not issue that registration or license.
