§ 332. State highway safety program.

§ 332. State highway safety program. 1. Notwithstanding any
inconsistent provision of law, general, special or local, the governor
is hereby empowered to contract and to do all other things necessary or
convenient in behalf of the state to secure the full benefits available
under the federal highway safety act of nineteen hundred sixty-six and
any acts amendatory or supplemental thereto. The governor shall
coordinate the highway safety activities of state and local agencies,
other public and private agencies, and of interested organizations and
individuals to effectuate the purposes of that act and shall be the
official of this state having the ultimate responsibility of dealing
with the federal government with respect to the state highway safety
program.
