§ 55-0101. Declaration of policy.
It is declared to be the public policy of this state to provide funds
for the preparation and implementation of groundwater watershed
protection plans in order to maintain existing water quality in special
groundwater protection areas within federally designated sole source
aquifer areas contained within counties having a population of one
million or more and to further the implementation of nonpoint source
controls for the protection of the potable supply underlying the entire
recharge area.
