NRS 644A.375 Qualifications for examination; fee.
1. The Board shall admit to examination for a certificate of registration as a shampoo technologist, any person who has applied to the Board in proper form and paid the fee, and who:
(a)Is not less than 16 years of age.
(b)Is of good moral character.
(c)Has successfully completed the 10th grade in school or its equivalent.
(d)Satisfies at least one of the following:
(1)Training of at least 50 hours in a licensed school of cosmetology as a student of the occupation of a cosmetologist or hair designer;
(2)Training of at least 50 hours in a licensed school of cosmetology in a curriculum prescribed by the Board by regulation; or
(3)Training of at least 50 hours which is administered online by the Board in a curriculum prescribed by the Board by regulation.
2. The Board may charge a fee of not more than $50 to administer the training described in subparagraph
(3)of paragraph
(d)of subsection 1.
