NRS 616A.470 Self-insured employers and private carriers to compensate Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers or Hearings Division of Department of Administration for services provided.
1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, each self-insured employer, association of self-insured public or private employers and private carrier shall compensate the office of the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers or the Hearings Division of the Department of Administration, as appropriate, for all services which the Occupational Safety and Health Review Board, the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers, the mediators and the appeals officers provide to those employers.
The cost of any service must be negotiated by the employer, association or private carrier, and the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers or the Division, as appropriate, before the employer, association or private carrier is charged for the service.
2. All compensation must be on the basis of actual cost and not on a basis which includes any subsidy for the Office of the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers, the Division or other employers.
