NRS 315.400 Conflicts of interest.
1. A commissioner or employee of the authority shall not voluntarily acquire any interest, direct or indirect, except as a residential tenant, in any housing project or in any property included or planned to be included in any housing project, or in any contract or proposed contract in connection with any housing project. Where the acquisition is not voluntary, the commissioner or employee shall immediately disclose the interest in writing to the authority and the disclosure must be entered upon the minutes of the authority.
Upon disclosure the commissioner or employee shall not participate in any action by the authority involving the housing project, property or contract. If any commissioner or employee of the authority previously owned or controlled an interest, direct or indirect, in any housing project or in any property included or planned to be included in any housing project, or in any contract or proposed contract in connection with any housing project, he or she shall immediately disclose the interest in writing to the authority and the disclosure must be entered upon the minutes of the authority.
Upon disclosure the commissioner or employee shall not participate in any action by the authority involving the housing project, property or contract.
2. Any violation of this section constitutes misconduct in office.
3. This section is not applicable to the acquisition of any interest in notes or bonds of the authority issued in connection with any housing project or the execution of agreements by financial institutions for the deposit or handling of money in connection with a housing project or to act as trustee under any trust indenture.
