NRS 271.585 Property bid in by or stricken off to municipality held in trust by municipality for special assessment district; when municipality may take and hold property discharged of trust. When any property is bid in by, or stricken off to, any municipality under any proceeding provided by NRS 271.540 to 271.580 , inclusive, the property shall be held in trust by the municipality for the special assessment district for which the assessment was levied for the amount for which the property was sold, and accrued interest at a rate of not exceeding 1 percent per month from the date on which the property was bid in by, or stricken off to, the municipality to the date of the transfer, sale or other disposition of the property.
However, the municipality may at any time after receiving a deed pay to the credit of the improvement district the amount for which the property was sold and accrued interest as aforesaid, and thereupon take and hold the property discharged of the trust.
