NRS 1A.140 Person convicted of murder or voluntary manslaughter of member of System ineligible to receive benefits. Any person convicted of the murder or voluntary manslaughter of a member of the System is ineligible to receive any benefit conferred by any provision of this chapter or NRS 2.060 to 2.083 , inclusive, 2A.100 to 2A.150 , inclusive, or 3.090 to 3.099 , inclusive, by reason of the death of that member. The System may withhold the payment of any benefit otherwise payable under this chapter by reason of the death of any member of the System from any person charged with the murder or voluntary manslaughter of that member, pending final determination of those charges.
