NRS 127D.210 Duties of person with legal custody of child before hearing on petition. If a person to whom a specific consent to adopt a child is given for an adoption pursuant to NRS 127D.160 has, at the time the specific consent is executed, legal custody over the child, the person is legally responsible for the child and shall provide for the care, support and maintenance of the child until a court holds a hearing to enter an order of adoption or to deny the petition pursuant to the laws of this State or another state.
