71-9-7. Access to property.

Employees or agents of the division, on proper identification, may enter public or private property to inspect and investigate conditions in relation to the exploration, development or production of geothermal resources, to monitor compliance with the Geothermal Resources Development Act or a rule, permit or order of the division, or to examine and copy, during reasonable business hours, those records or memoranda of the business being investigated; provided, however, that any inspection or investigation on private property shall be at reasonable times and upon notice to the private landowner.
Employees or agents acting under the authority of this section shall observe the business's safety, internal security and fire protection rules.
