The secretary of corrections and criminal rehabilitation [secretary of corrections] shall promulgate rules and regulations providing for the production of small articles of handiwork by inmates from raw materials furnished by the corrections and criminal rehabilitation department [corrections department] at inmate expense and for the deposit of all or a portion of the sale price of such articles to the general account of the inmate who manufactured the article. Articles of handiwork may be sold to the public at correctional facilities and in public buildings. History: Laws 1981, ch. 167, § 1.
