4. There is hereby established in the Department of State the Division of Travel and Tourism. The division shall be under the supervision of a director, who shall be a person qualified by training and experience to direct the work of such division. The director shall be appointed by the Governor after consultation with the council and with the advice and consent of the Senate. The director shall serve during the term of office of the Governor appointing the director and until the director's successor is appointed and qualified.
The director shall receive such salary as shall be provided by law and shall devote the director's entire time and attention to the duties of the director's office and shall not, while in office, engage in any other gainful pursuit. The Governor may remove the director from office for cause, upon notice and opportunity to be heard.
