30:6D-8. Rights, obligations and prohibitions; notice; oral explanation; posting

The chief administrator of any facility for persons with developmental disabilities shall cause a written notice of the rights, obligations and prohibitions set forth in this act to be given every developmentally disabled person and such person's parent or guardian or representative of guardianship services, within 5 days of the admission of such person to such facility. In addition, the substance of such rights, obligations and prohibitions shall be explained to each such person over the age of 10 years in simple, understandable language, reasonably calculated to assure that the person comprehends the substance to the best of the person's ability.
A full list of such rights, obligations and prohibitions shall be prominently posted in all wards and public rooms of the facility.
