a. The Department of Corrections shall provide such office facilities and clerical assistance as may be necessary to enable the board to perform properly its duties and to keep and maintain the records required herein.
b. The Department of Corrections, the chief executive officers and staffs of those facilities assigned to the Department of Corrections, the chief executive officers and staffs of the county jails, workhouses, and penitentiaries and the chief executive officers and staffs of those facilities assigned to the Department of Human Services where inmates or parolees are housed shall render full and complete cooperation to the board in the matter of furnishing the board all pertinent data and information relating to particular inmates.
It shall also be the duty of the clerk of the court from which the inmate was committed, and of county probation officers and other officials, to forward to the board any commitment order, any presentence report, and the sentencing court's written reasons for any sentence imposed. The board shall in addition have the power to compel the appearance of witnesses and the production of documentary evidence relevant to any proceedings before it. Failure to respond to any subpena shall carry the penalty prescribed by law for failure to so respond in the Superior Court.
