27:15A-7. Expenditures authorized; filing of resolution

Upon the approval of any application herein contemplated by the State Highway Commissioner, the board of chosen freeholders of any such county may by resolution authorize the expenditure and disbursement by the county treasurer of the difference between the total cost of such repairs and the amount of State assistance certified by the State Highway Commissioner for such repairs, irrespective of whether or not any funds shall have been appropriated for said purpose in the budget of said county during the year when said application shall have been approved by the State Highway Commissioner.
A copy of such resolution, certified by the clerk to the board of chosen freeholders of any such county, shall be filed with the Division of Local Government in the State Department of Taxation and Finance within three days after passage and no further approval for the expenditure of the funds in such resolution shall be necessary from the Division of Local Government in the State Department of Taxation and Finance.
