19:21-6. Statement and certification of canvass

The board shall forthwith canvass such statements and proceed to make a statement of the result of the election in the state; the statement shall contain the whole number of names of the voters in all the signature copy registers and registers of voters, the whole number of the names of the voters in all the poll books and the whole number of ballots rejected in the state, the names of all the persons for whom any vote or votes shall have been given for any office or offices to be filled at such election, and the whole number of the votes which shall have been given to each person for any such office or offices, mentioning the office or offices for which each person shall have been designated, together with the results of the votes cast upon any public questions voted upon by the voters of the entire state or of any political subdivision thereof greater than a county, and shall contain the name of each county, the number of names in the poll books in the counties respectively, the number of votes given for each person in each county for any such office or offices.
In such statement the name of each person for whom any vote or votes shall have been given, the whole number of votes given for each person, and the name of each county, shall be in words written at full length.
The whole number of names of the voters in all the signature copy registers and registers of voters, and the whole number of the names of the voters in all the poll books and the whole number of ballots rejected in the state, together with the result of the votes cast upon any public questions voted upon by the voters of the entire state or any political subdivision thereof greater than a county, the number of names of the voters in all the signature copy registers and registers of voters and the number of names in the poll books and the number of ballots rejected in the counties respectively, together with the result of the votes cast upon any public questions voted upon by the voters of the entire state or any political subdivision thereof greater than a county, and the number of votes given for each person in each county may be in figures.
Such statement shall be certified to be true and correct by a certificate appended to the same; and the chairman of the board shall sign his name thereto in the presence of the clerk of the board, which such clerk shall attest by signing his name thereto.
