18A:58-33.5. Inclusion in annual budget; payment of debt service on bonds

As provided in this act, every school district shall be entitled to receive annually the amount of the additional State school building aid (the allocation) determined in the resolutions of the State Board of Education and the State Board of Education shall include such amount in its annual budget for building aid for the school district. Amounts of such building aid paid under this act shall be used only for the payment of debt service (interest and principal) on bonds entitled to the benefits of the provisions of this act, in accordance with said resolution, except to the extent otherwise provided in this act with respect to obligations issued in anticipation of such bonds; provided,
(a)that no proposal authorizing such bonds was approved prior to January 1, 1968 either by the voters or the board of school estimate, and no permanent bonds were issued thereunder prior to January 13, 1970, and
(b)that the total principal amount of bonds entitled to the benefits of the provisions of this act in accordance with resolutions adopted by the State Board of Education pursuant to the provisions of this act, and for the payment of the debt service (interest and principal) as to which bonds additional school building aid may be paid pursuant to this act, shall not exceed $90,000,000.00.
