16:19-5. Trustees; filling vacancies

When a vacancy shall occur in such board of trustees, by reason of the death or resignation of any trustee or his removal from the limits of the association, the same shall be filled by a majority vote of the remaining trustees. Nominations for trustees to fill any such vacancy shall be made in accordance with the provisions of the constitution or by-laws of the association or, if there are no such provisions, then by the board of trustees of the association. When such election is held by the remaining trustees of any Young Men's Christian Association, they shall elect to such vacancy a person who is a member in good standing of a Protestant Evangelical church.
In the case of any Young Men's Christian Association no more than one-third of the members of the board of trustees, not including the president of the association, shall be members of any one religious denomination.
