Awards committee. The New Jersey Employee Awards Committee shall be established within the Civil Service Commission. The committee shall be composed of seven persons, each of whom shall be employed in a different department within the Executive Branch. Appointments to the committee shall be made by the Governor, from nominations by the commission, for staggered terms of three years or until a successor is appointed. No member shall serve more than two consecutive full terms. Members shall serve without compensation but shall be entitled to sums incurred for necessary expenses. The commission shall designate an employee as executive secretary to the committee.
