Each house of the legislative assembly may punish, by imprisonment, as for a contempt, any person who is guilty of one or more of the following offenses:
1. Knowingly arresting a member or officer of the house or procuring such member or
officer to be arrested in violation of the member's or officer's privilege from arrest.
2. Disorderly conduct in the immediate view of the house and directly tending to interrupt
its proceedings.
3. Refusing to attend and be examined as a witness either before the house, or a
committee thereof, or before any person authorized to take testimony in legislative
proceedings.
4. Giving or offering a bribe to a member or attempting by menace or other corrupt
means or device, directly or indirectly, to control or influence a member in giving the
member's vote or to prevent the member giving the same. The term of imprisonment which such house may impose for any contempt specified in this section may not continue beyond thirty days, nor extend beyond the same session of the legislative assembly.
